Supposed to be all easy miles, but a fellow blogger went by me and I tried to catch him. Turned out he was doing about 5:40 pace. It took me a while to realize that I was not going to catch up to him. Then I just folloed for a while. Probably shouldn't have since I have a race tomorrow.

It is hard to resist the urge to run someone down and also adds a lot of fun to the run. Hope the race goes good tomorrow!

I thought that was you, but as I'm sure you could tell, I was in pretty deep concentration at that point. One foot in front of the other.

Good call on the pace...almost hit it on the head (5:41). What race are you running tomorrow?

From Dallen on Wed, Jun 18, 2008 at 18:23:24

Running the Jim Gibbons 5K tomorrow.

You looked pretty good out there today. You looked relaxed enough that I thought you were doing a normal 6:30 pace rather than 5:40. Otherwise I wouldn't have tried to catch up.

Dallen - next time you see Greg, catch up to him and give him some encouragement to join the blog :-)

How do you get lucky enough to have a race on a Thurs? What is your next "key" marathon?

I know it is still awhile away but let me know when you are coming for your fellowship. I run from the hospital about 5 days a week lately... I'm assuming you're coming to The U?
