This race if purely for fun. I run it in an attempt to wind the fastest costumed runner division. In the previous two years I ran as a gargoyle, but this year I couldn't find my costume (I think I threw it away) so I had to make a 12th hour improvision and I ran dressed as a doctor. Not really much of a costume.
I made the mistake of wearing a stethoscope, which bounced on my chest for the first mile until I finally undid the safety pins holding it in place. Got pretty painful after a while.
I am really out of shape. Got triple chicked, but still managed to be the fastest idiot in a costume.
This race offers up a little prize money (100/50/25) which really brings out the big guns. Only about 200 people in the race, however at least 5 were under 26 minutes. I was probably around 15th.
