7 easy miles, mostly on the eliptical. I am resting up the hamstring for tomorow's planned long run. I never do this, but I am concerned about the plausibility of doing a long run on a gimpy leg.

My left hamstring started hurting a year ago after running a 39 mile ultra.
Ever since then, it has never been 100% ok; there are better and worse days. I have run everything from 30 seconds all-out efforts to marathon races on that hamstring during the year, and even though it does provide a degree of discomfort, it does not affect my pace, as far as I can tell.
I hope your problem won't last as long as mine, but I would not worry too much about it.

Hope your injury heals up quickly.
