6 easy miles. It is very difficult doing this taper. It is hard to be here in salt lake and not try to to some mountain running. Unfortunately that would be way too taxing on my legs in the days before the 50K.
Also very difficult is the carbo load. I like to do the traditional depletion/load 2 phase carbo load. I finish 2 days of depletion today. Avoiding carbs is hard when I am eating out 3 meals a day, especially when my wife understandably wants to east normal food. |
